The paintings of Robert Crosby will be on display in the Joyner Gallery of Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre this July for his solo exhibit titled, Old & New.  The collection features hyper-realistic, acrylic paintings of what he sees around him. Color and texture tell a story through this series of acrylic paintings. Robert Crosby is influenced by painting things that most people walk by and don’t even notice, like as pile of old fishing buoys and old boat or an old car. They have so much color and texture to them and could probably tell a few interesting stories if they could talk.

Inspiration: Collor, texture and age seem to be my catalyst for most of my paintings. Growing up in the east coast influences my work a great deal as well. I paint with Acrylic paints which allows me to use vibrant colours, and create an almost photographic look to my work
