ROME – The ITSLIQUID Group has opened the 16th edition of the Rome International Art Fair, a wide-ranging exhibition of contemporary work in photography, painting, video, installation, sculpture, and performance. The fair, free to the public, is on view from September 19 through October 2 at ITSLIQUID Art Space, Medina Art Gallery, on Via Angelo Poliziano. The opening reception was held on September 19 at 6 p.m.
This year’s edition features contributions from more than 50 international artists and over 100 works. Together, they map questions of identity, transformation, and cultural intersection across a variety of media.
The fair is organized into two thematic sections. Mixing Identities turns attention inward, creating an immersive environment that suggests the labyrinths of individual and collective consciousness, and the ways hidden parts of the self may surface in art. Future Landscapes expands the horizon, moving toward abstraction and conceptual exploration. Works in this section evoke limitless extension and freedom, probing the borderlines between body and city, mind and terrain, soul and structure.
By bringing together global perspectives and multiple forms, the Rome International Art Fair continues its mission to present contemporary art as a site of exchange between disciplines and cultures. With its range of works, it offers audiences a glimpse of how artists are navigating questions of identity and environment in a world where both feel increasingly fluid.
The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Medina Art Gallery.
